4th Grade Activities:

There are many special activities planned for our fourth grade students, to celebrate and create special memories of this exciting time!

Please note: we will do our best this year to maintain school traditions-- but some activities may be reimagined or replaced as necessary for current circumstances.

Move Up Ceremony & Celebration
June 11

Fourth grade celebrates the completion of their elementary years in a Move Up ceremony. This brief event includes the poetry contest winners, presentation of the charity project, presentation of the diplomas, and a dance/skit by students. This year's Move Up ceremony will be virtual, followed by an outdoor celebration including lunch, treat and entertainment!
Ceremony - Melissa Brennan
Celebration - Stacey Robinson, Emma Dunlea, Kerrie Donnelly, Allie Reveley and Carey Noel

 Clap Out
June 16, 10:45 AM

The Clap Out is when the entire school lines the hallways and claps as the 4th graders walk throughout the school. We are excited to continue this tradition with the students this year! Families are invited to park in the upper parking lot or at town hall and line up 6 feet apart to congratulate our students!

Art Contest

An art contest is held, and the students in 4th grade select a winner. The art is featured on the class T-shirt which is worn by the class for their Class Photo, as well as at Move Up. Other submissions are featured in the yearbook and other featured items. *Participation is optional. Coordinators: Alexis Treat & Jennifer Mara

Yearbook & Baby Photos

Each student will receive a yearbook with highlights from their Center School experience. Have some great photos to share? Upload them to the class website. Please note, ONLY photos taken at school or school sponsored events can be used in the yearbook. Please also upload your child's baby photo to the class site!

Class Photo

Typically, the entire 4th grade will be photographed in the gym and outdoors. Students will receive a print of the photo.

There will be no class photo this year.

Charity Project

The 4th graders will lead our school in organizing and executing a service project, to assist our greater community. Suggestions are made by the Student Council and then voted on by the 4th grade students.
